We are developing an annual festival that travels from city to city--premiering fresh, illuminating and unconventional movies and films from aspiring creatives all over the world. The projects that people submit may appear at colleges, military bases, small theaters and more--somewhat similar to what Bob Shaye did in his early years.

Promotion will range from local to worldwide advertising--using posters, radio ads, online ads and social media to inform the masses. The posters and radio ads may only appear in the city of the upcoming festival. Our first event will take place in Seattle, Washington. We're planning subsequent ones in Portland, Oregon, Salt Lake City, Utah, Los Angeles, California, Phoenix, Arizona, Austin, Texas and other such metropolises. If My Own Private Hollywood (or MOPH for short) is successful enough, we might even host events in other provinces or countries.

Funds will come in the forms of investments, pledges and donations, which include payments from 1613 Enterprises, crowdfunding sites, such as Kickstarter or Indiegogo, and individuals or companies that are interested in contributing to our cause. These monies will only be used to fund this and future festivals.

Our mission (with MOPH) is to enhance the marketing, distributing and merchandising opportunities for creatives worldwide, so they can successfully enter the entertainment industry without facing adversity, prejudice or nepotism. We feel that if "unknowns" display their works in venues and arenas outside the internet, they can penetrate more markets, obtain wider audiences, discover merchandising opportunities not yet realized and achieve better recognition. Their bold endeavors might even encourage other hopefuls to pursue their dreams or goals--ultimately leading better, more fulfilled lives.

Currently, we have only an idea, plan and website, which includes a form that creatives can use to submit content. We plan to start accepting submissions toward the end of 2019. At that time, flyers and other advertising may appear in Seattle and surrounding areas, including Spokane and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and crowd-funding campaigns (may appear) online. The (Seattle) festival is scheduled for the summer or fall of 2020. We'll publish more info as it develops.
